About me
Marion is a French-Canadian filmmaker and photographer. Her practice lies at the intersection of documentary filmmaking and the exploration of the moving body. She studied International Communications at UQAM and Documentary Filmmaking at INIS (National Institute of Image and Sound). Her films have been screened at several international festivals, including Dresden, VIFF, Regard, FIFA, and Interfilm Berlin. She is currently developing two new dance films in co-production and beginning to explore more personal subjects, renewing her approach to movement and image. Her work explores the aesthetic and political plurality of bodies, as well as the importance of participatory and real-time creative processes. Her approach is rooted in collaborative and research-based processes, creating a dialogue between filmmaker, subjects, and artistic contexts. She develops each project through close observation, exchange, and experimentation, creating images that reflect the singularity of each body, story, and environment.
